MH79 Antique Kimono Haori For Men, Lobster & Landscape.

Men's Haori with a design of ancient landscape pictures. The big lobster is shown at front, while landscapes are in fan, book and sand dollar shaped frames. It is glossy black Hiraginu silk and has 5 family crests; formal occasion Haori. The crest is  embracing Japanese gingers, encircled. Bottom of right sleeve liner has a light stain; this doesn't appear on the outer shell.  Specs are:

MH78  Antique Kimono Haori For Men, Woven Liner of Ships.

Donchou lining item men's Haori with a design of framed pictures. Mt Fuji, treasure ship and some Kanji calligraphys in  square frames. 5 family crests, formal occasion Haori. The crest is fan and pine tree, encircled.  It is unused; still has the basting threads (shitsuke) left at the sleeves.  Specs are:

Men's Haori with ancient war ship pictures. The ocean and fully armed Samurai soldiers and old war ships are depicted. It is dull black Tsumugi silk Haori. A single shadow crest is embroidered at center back, so it is a semi formal occasion Haori. The crest is the paulownia tree, encircled.  Specs:

MH76 Antique Kimono Haori, Men's, Running Horse.

Pattern: Big running horse centered on the lining. In life, the horse would be white, and notice the detailing painted in gold. The painter's signature appears lower right.
Comments: No crest casual occasion Haori. It is in excellent condition, but there is some discoloration where the sleeve meets the body in the liner shown close in the picture bottom right.

SOLD MH75 Antique Kimono Haori, Men's, Donchou Arabesque.

Pattern: Donchou lining Men's Haori with an Arabesque pattern of ancient people and buildings repeated throughout.  Even though it is obvious that this is not the case, it brings to mind those Terra Cotta Soldiers recently made so famous.
Comments: 5-crest formal occasion Haori. The crest is Mokko quince encircled.

MH74 Antique Kimono Haori, Men's, Lucky God Liner.

Pattern: Daikokuten the kitchen god in the foreground, ancient dancers and leaves in the round frames at back.
Comments: The crest is mandarin encircled. Excellent condition, Kiro claims there is a small stain near the right sleeve opening, but to save my life I can't find it.

M68 Antique Kimono Haori For Men, Jurojin & Deer.

The staining you see in the picture bottom left is on the front side of the sleeve liner; it most likely will come out with cleaning.  This is another one that is all about the liner; Jurojin and the crane in one frame, the two deer in the other frame.  The design you see in the picture bottom right appears randomly on the cream silk background of the liner.  The outer shell is black silk and has five crests for formal wear.  Excellent condition apart from the light stains, it measures wrist to wrist 51", body width 24 1/4", sleeve drop 20 1/2", length 41".  It is $85.00. 

M67 Antique Kimono Haori For Men, Hotei On Fan.

Hotei is one of the Seven Lucky Gods, so perhaps this haori will bring you luck along with the simple pleasure of owning something so beautiful!  This one has a single 'shadow crest' of eight hawk feathers in a wheel pattern; this is the first time I have seen this particular crest.  The garment is in excellent condition and measures wrist to wrist 52", body width 24 1/4", sleeve drop 20 1/2", length 40 1/2".  It is $85.00. 

M66 Antique Kimono Haori For Men, Lobster & Kanji Sumi Boro.

The picture bottom left shows the careful repair to damage that appears to be burn, although how a garment gets burned on the liner without burning the shell is a mystery to me.  You have to know exactly where to look for this on the exterior (sleeve) because the stitching is so fine and straight that is is nearly invisible on the black outer shell.  I love the ones that have these repairs; it speaks to the importance of the haori to the original owner.  It is a wonderful liner of poems and lobsters and is very light weight silk.  It measures wrist to wrist 51", body width 24 3/4", sleeve drop 19", length 39".  It is $65.00.
